JOB SUMMARY:
The Sr. Business Analyst will report directly to the Operations Technology Product Owner and be responsible for the for supporting Covr’s digital life insurance sales platforms.  This position will support the building of the current and future product offerings and related service that maintains a sustainable value in terms of revenue and profits for the enterprise. The position is located in Hartford CT or Houston, TX and the ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Life Insurance and digital processes.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Works with the PO in identifying opportunities that lead to the growth of the product through innovation while still maintaining the fundamental business goals/priorities.
  • Responsible for spearheading investigation and analyses on operations platforms and technology solutions
  • Collaborates internally with company leadership and areas of product, marketing, sales, operations, and customer service to meet partner and company objectives.
  • Ensures that there is a continuous improvement in the product as well as the product’s compliance to market need and competitive offerings.
  • Takes the lead in reviewing new project concepts and suggestions to help articulate potential designs and solutions while working with the technology team to size and estimate the build effort.
  • Participate in client success meetings to collaboration with Covr’s PMO and Tech teams to provide updates on key initiatives on firm technology delivery roadmaps

JOB SPECIFICATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent in relevant field required.  An advanced degree a significant plus.
  • • 7+ years of experience in life insurance including:  Term and Permanent Products and Operations Processing
  • Understanding of digital technologies and services
  • Experience in leading or participating in the development of new technology platforms through the use of agile methods and effective communication to technical developers.
  • Understanding of best practices for creating and managing a consumer facing platform.
  • Experience in creating and managing Product Roadmaps

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of the emerging digital processes and other emerging technologies that will drive a better customer experience for the evaluation and purchase of life insurance and other insurance products.
  • Ability to analyze, document, and present complex designs and solutions to internal stakeholders for review and feedback.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and demanding environment, with a strong ability to manage numerous competing priorities.
  • Ability to partner with Product and PMO team members to help drive projects to completion with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible work environment and willing to work on a 'hands-on' basis, getting in the trenches with the team at every level.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage people in a high paced and collaborative culture
  • Strong critical thinking and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment with professional and technical fortitude
  • Strong work ethic and high level of personal integrity and accountability

  • Salary range of $70,000 to $75,000
