This is a newly created position that we are adding to our growing team! Working for the Chief Product Officer, the candidate for this role will lead all aspects of predictive analytics and data utilization for Covr Technologies and our insurance agency operation.  Utilizing available client data, third party data and other predictive methodologies, we expect to improve the user experience in every step of the life insurance buying and servicing process.  This role combines predictive modeling, data mining and visual data techniques with big data, models and predictive strategies to enhance product selection, underwriting and policy management. 


  • Builds and manages the predictive models for insurance underwriting and new business that may consist of traditional statistical models, machine learning algorithms and data utilization techniques. 
  • Creates performance monitoring to track insurance carrier KPIs and use them in determining expected service levels and product selection. 
  • Conducts complex analyses to evaluate insurance carrier rules and processes and contribute to simplification of application process. 
  • Builds processes based on self-reported and third-party data to help advisors select the best carrier and underwriting process for prospective insureds
  • Conducts analyses to develop rule-based, behavioral, detection scenarios and data enrichment to maximize sales effectiveness and marketing programs. 


Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, statistics or other related field required; advanced education including Master’s and/or PhD a plus 
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of predictive modeling experience with analytical, statistical, logical reasoning and problem-solving skills 
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in life insurance or other related field 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to collect and model data 
  • Advanced computer skills including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and other applications (SAS, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, etc)
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex statistical data and/or to develop forecasts and predictive models. 
  • Ability to display data in a compelling way to enable strong UX experience. 
  • Must have a track record of effective problem solving and decision-making skills.
