JOB SUMMARY:

Covr is looking to hire a dynamic and results-oriented assistant/analyst for our rapidly growing InsureTech company. The role will support Covr’s CEO who is located in Hartford, CT and will facilitate coordination with the company headquarters which are based in Boise, ID.  The candidate will support the CEO for Connecticut-based activities and certain key projects across the company. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organizes and schedules events for the Hartford office using video conferencing, tele-conferencing and face to face events.
  • Prepares meeting agendas and manages sales database for business development team.
  • Takes a lead role or partner with the CEO on certain key strategic projects. Role will depend on skills of the individual, but is likely to include projects related to enterprise sales strategy, venture capital/InsureTech development and strategic business planning.
  • Organizes key metrics and reports to facilitate analysis of the business in collaboration with the CEO.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS preferably in business or other related discipline; masters degree/some masters work preferable 
  • 2+ years of working experience with strong general business acumen and people skills
  • Must know basic project management skills and be able to follow up on key tasks and plan agendas for future meetings
  • Some prior insurance and/or financial services or relevant B2B business technology experience is helpful  

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills including PowerPoint and Excel
  • Analytical mindset including the ability to review and analyze business activity reports
  • Demonstrated ability to accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task without losing focus
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to build phone-based relationships
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment with professional and technical fortitude
  • Strong work ethic and high level of personal integrity and accountability
