JOB SUMMARY:

This is a newly created role to join our growing software development team in our fun and fast paced department.  The Data Developer will be working with our software development team to produce high quality work, participate in development meetings and database architecture meetings, and adhere to project schedules.  The Database Developer will develop and maintain data downloads and processing data transfer utilities.  They will demonstrate a strong understanding of data principles and standards and how they integrate within software applications.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads in the design, coding, and testing of technical solutions using SQL, T-SQL, stored procedures, and multiple programming languages within the database environments.
  • Creates and maintains data downloads and processing using data transfer utilities, programming languages, and database environments.
  • Works with data transformation methods (ETL) using scripting languages to meet data transfer project needs.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree or higher in Computer Science or similar discipline

Skills and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience with SQL and stored procedures within relational databases
  • Detailed knowledge Microsoft SQL, ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for large-scale OLTP and data warehouse systems
  • Demonstrated experience with multiple databases and environments
  • Work with project managers to interpret business requirements and offer technical solutions
  • Intermediate level planning, estimation, documentation, and status reporting
  • Working experience of Azure SQL and Azure cloud environments
