JOB SUMMARY:

Covr is building a new service level for our financial advisors called Virtual Advice. This will offer financial advisors the ability to get the advanced insurance support they need to confidently present life insurance solutions to their clients through online tools and sophisticated virtual, personal advice. To drive this, our sales group is building an elite  team of Advanced Insurance Specialists (AISs) to work in partnership with our existing Insurance Sales Consultants (ISCs).  The AIS is responsible for managing and building permanent life sales within a territory of financial advisors. These AISs will drive planning-based life insurance sales to the roughly 25,000 Advisors Covr currently works with at various firms (broker-dealers, banks, advisory firms and other financial institutions.  The AIS will focus on more advanced planning strategies utilizing permanent life insurance, large face amount term insurance and other protection products to high net worth clients of high performing FAs.  A list of examples (but not all encompassing) would include: LIRP, Asset Maximization, Wealth Transfer, Private Premium Financing, Business Owners Solutions and Estate Planning.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promote insurance solutions to financial advisors through education, awareness and case design.
  • Achieve targeted advisor engagement and sales goals with a focus on permanent life sales
  • Increase advisor participation and penetration of permanent life insurance within a defined territory
  • Proactively connect with Advisors within your assigned territory to educate on permanent life strategies
  • Collaborate with Advisors to help identify clients within their book that may be appropriate for permanent life strategies
  • Guide Advisors on use of Covr’s digital insurance platform and its capabilities
  • Provide virtual point of sale assistance for Advisors with their clients and centers of influence
  • Promote Covr’s Sophisticated Affiliate partners
  • Actively promote Covr’s capabilities with a focus on the team approach in serving advisor and client needs
  • Ensure end to end satisfaction of clients and advisors through the process.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • Proven permanent life sales track record
  • Proven ability to work with financial advisors to gain trust and business
  • Minimum 7-year experience in the insurance and estate planning field
  • Advanced degrees preferred: JD, CFP, CLU, ChFC
  • Insurance license 7/63 or 6/63 required
  • Must have clean U-4 and background check

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Well versed in current estate tax law and planning techniques
  • Well versed in business owner strategies and solutions
  • Current with all types of permanent life products and riders
  • Comfortable with proactive sales approach
  • Comfortable with point of sale on advanced planning strategies
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Thrives in a team environment
