JOB SUMMARY:

This is a newly created role that we are adding to our growing team.   The candidate for this role will take the lead role in creating a digital experience for our permanent life (including IUL) and single premium life (including asset based long term care) product portfolios.  This involves working with current insurance carriers and new carriers, including reinsurers, on proprietary products and processes. This experience will be applied to both our advisor and consumer-direct sales platforms.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops digital comparison views for all Covr product portfolios; primarily focused on term insurance, IUL, asset-based LTC and disability income. 
  • Develops comparative methodologies to help advisors and consumers pick the best product fit based on client needs.
  • Develops streamlined methods for assessing underwriting classifications and ‘best process’ for clients.
  • Works directly with our technology team, data analytics team and user groups to define leading edge customer experience for insurance purchasing.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in product design/product marketing at an insurance carrier and/or BGA.  Actuarial experience a plus.   
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or industry designations preferred
  • Must have experience in quoting and illustration software such as Winflex, RightBridge and other leading software programs.
  • Must have experience with accelerated underwriting, digital processing, and other InsurTech innovation trends
  • Must have experience in helping promote and market life insurance and LTC to advisors

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment with professional and technical fortitude
  • Ability to facilitate design and brainstorming discussions and the ability to work collaboratively are key skills to the success of this role.
  • Must have a vision and passion for simplifying the insurance buying experience.
